Arafura Sea Charters has access to dumb barges, tugs, work pontoons and larger support ships on an as required basis.

Mooring Services

Our mooring blocks are solid concrete with a reinforced high grade steel re-enforcement bar and 32-50mm stud link chain sections. In addition to this, the pyramid shape with a bottom cavity that acts like a suction pad in the mud ensures a strong hold.

Arafura Sea Charters has been laying moorings in the Northern Territory since 1999 with no reports of dragging or failure of equipment to date. Each mooring assembly is constructed to suit the client’s specific needs. We can also have the units cyclone rated including a full electronic engineers report for insurance purposes.

Arafura Sea Charters also have access to large anchors and equipment at competitive prices. For larger vessels these anchors are required to be used in conjunction with our mooring blocks.
